The pandemic threw up multiple challenges to the bicycle industry. The retailers were worst affected by the lockdown. On one hand bicycle sales were soaring because of the advantages it offered to society during the COVID wave, on the other hand the stores had to close and not be able to service the need. This created the need for KBDA to resurface, go to the Government of Karnataka and ask to be considered a necessary service. KBDA is an association wich will have 500 bicycle dealers across the state of Karnataka as members very soon. It aims to future proof the state and take bicycling in the state to the next level.

We have an ambitious vision to sell 5 crore bicycles in Karnataka by 2024. We will achieve this by

Bicycle Training

We are a partner to the Certified Bicycle Training Program of DULT

This program puts more confident cyclists on the road
This will also increase the number of people who will want to ride a bicycle
This will ensure more engangement and empathy among public for cycling
